Derwent Valley Pre-school

Derwent Valley Pre-School is situated in the Village Hall Hutton Buscel and was established in 1968. The setting is managed by a voluntary committee mainly made up of parents and carers. We encourage individuals to attend committee meetings if they wish, to become involved and active within the running of the pre-school. Thus, helping sustain the friendly, local, and family-like environment that we so strongly believe in.

At Derwent Valley Pre-School, our main priorities are the welfare, education, and happiness of the children.

We pride ourselves on our safe and secure outdoor environment, which develops the children’s imagination, curiosity, and concentration. We regularly explore our wider environment with walks in the village, the churchyard, to visit the ‘sticky tree’, Revenge Wood – where we say hello to the alpaca and donkeys – and snail-hunting in the Pinfold.

Tweenies is held in the Village Hall on a Wednesday morning for families with children from birth to school age.
